The science students better know about the energy and its sources. But the people who are not the science students are also aware of the importance of energy these days. In fact, they know the fact that they can only progress when they utilize the sources of energy to their best. You need power for transportation, lights and other dwelling uses. You need the energy to manufacture products you use in your daily life. In other words, you cannot live without electricity as it has made many things possible. Let’s take a look at the two sources of energy:

Renewable Source Of Energy:

There is no need to discuss the importance of energy again and again as everyone knows the fact that today’s advancement is due to the power and energy. From the lights of your house to the giant machinery in the factory works with the help of electricity and power. You can get the energy from two sources:

  1. 1. Renewable sources of energy
  2. 2. Nonrenewable sources of energy

When you use the energy it finishes, you need the primary source of energy to use it again and again. The renewable sources of energy are those that can be used again and again such as:

  • Wind
  • Biomass
  • Geothermal
  • Solar
  • Hydropower

Let’s get an overview of each:

Wind- as the name signifies, it is the type of energy received through the wind. The wind farms have the giant turbines that collect the wind and turn it into the energy.

Biomass– You get biomass energy by burning the corn, wood, and manure.

Geothermal- You get the geothermal energy to generate electricity from the Earth’s crust.

Solar- Sun is the most excellent source of energy. You install the solar plates to get the solar energy. It is not that costly, and you can install the solar dishes in your home and office as well. In fact, it is an efficient way to save money spent on energy bills.

Hydropower- You may have visited the dams. The dams and rivers are used to generate hydroelectricity.

Nonrenewable Source Of Energy:

The second source of energy is the non-renewable energy which means that once you use these energies, they are gone forever. The non-renewable sources of energy are:

  • Coal
  • Natural gas
  • Minerals
  • Uranium

You should be very cautious while using such energy sources as they take thousands of years to generate. Once you have used all non-renewable energy sources, then you have to wait for thousands of years to get them back. Well, it is a fact that in many countries the fossil fuel energy is not that expensive. But the reason is that they have enough sources of this natural energy. But still, it is better to use moderately. So you will not run short of non-renewable energy sources. The process of gathering the non-renewable powers is not that easy. Sometimes people lose their lives in this process.
